slide show

I can't view pictures as a slide show like I should be
able to.

I clicked on My Documents, My Pictures. On the view task
bar selection, I get "Icons, List, Details, etc." but no
choice as "View as Slide Show" like the Help menu says it
will say.

What am I doing wrong?

When you open the View icon on the task bar selection, there is no "View as
slide show" item. This is normal.
There are several ways to start a slide show.
1. Open the folder to display the photo file. Click on the first file. Look
at the menu on the left, under Picture Task and click on view slide show.
2. Double click on the first photo file in a folder. The photo will open on
your screen. Look at the list of icons below the photo. There is a little
screen icon. Click on it to start the slide show.
