Shutdown.exe

In Windows XP there is a command that you can type into the command box
(start/run/cmd) that shutsdown remote computers, shutdown.exe. I have been
using this alot on my home network while configuring different things. My
friend has a network with Windows 2000, he wants to be able to do the same
thing. So I went on line and found an executable program for shutdown (I have
used it befor on other win 2000 computers and it worked just as it should).
But the problem is that I dont remember where to put the program so that cmd
can find shutdown.exe and run it. Any ideas? Thanks alot.
