shutdown.exe - power off

PC:
Dell GX-240 Pentium 4, etc ...
Windows 2K - SP4 - all the updates, etc ... :)

I use local o remote: shutdown.exe, and not power off only
the "It is now safe to turn off your computer", the
restart option work fine.
In the GUI the option off shutdown work fine, POWER OFF !

I use Wake-On-Lan comand-line tool, and work cool, but for
power down, only work the "#$"% GUI, the only option is to
use RADMIN or other remote utility for power off... ? ...

I would think that was the shutdown.exe from the Resource Kit (or from WinXP)?
That is a known "issue" with it.

This one usually works better:

PsShutdown.exe in the free PsTools suite
