John,

This sounds like a problem the 'Windows Installer CleanUp' utility can fix
but you need to know exactly which application is causing the error. It
looks like it's some kind of e-mail app you have installed in the past,
possibly your ISP's e-mail account. Anyway, if you do figure out which one
it is here's the steps to correct it.

Drew

Download, install & run the 'Windows Installer CleanUp' utility

Download here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us

scroll down & click Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package
now

Or click the link (if shown) for the direct download

After download:

- click file 'Windows Installer CleanUp' (may take a minute to load)

- at the open window, click 'Next' > 'Next' to agree install

- click 'Finish'

- click Start > Programs > Windows Install Clean Up

- scroll & highlight a program that needs 'cleaning'

- click 'Remove' then OK

- click 'Exit'

Note:

You will need to reinstall the program that are cleaned

Thank you for your excellent response.
I'll give what you suggest a try and report back.
I tried clicking link on event viewer but it gives MS page that has no
solutions

Take care.

Thanks a lot.

I use earthlink e-mail and downloaded ms installer cleanup and removed e-mail
program and guess what, no more warnings.
Hven't reloaded e-mail, don't use it on this user anyway.
After removal had this error in event viewer

John, I have the exact same problem. I use Earthlink, and I suspect they are
the problem. I get no help contacting them. I would appreciate hearing how
you make out with this Harry
