ShoDoc.DLL errors raise an ActiveX dialog ARG!!!

B

Borne Identity

Since installing XP SP2, IE now pops up a window on shdoclc.dll errors.

This is HIGHLY annoying because I have an internal DNS server with hundreds
of entries for pop-up advertisers, etc. (hotbar, doubleclick, etc.).

I can't, for the life of me, make this go away.

It appears to be trying to create an object with a class id of
B45FF030-4447-11D2-85DE-00C04FA35C89 which I believe is the search
assistant.

I don't care about the search assistant, I just want the dang error to go
away.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!
