Shared printer

Hi

Can anyone help me with this problem?
I have an XP Pro PC connected to a Win 98 PC over thin ethernet, 10Mbps,
peer to peer, home networking. Installed on the XP machine is a HP JetDirect
print server carrying a HP Laserjet 5. The printer is showing in the XP
control panel and is set to be shared. The printer works fine from the XP
PC, no problems whatsoever.
The 98 PC can "see" the printer on the network when its set up to use a
network printer. However, when I try to print from the 98 PC, it won't play.
The document goes into the print queue on the XP PC, and eventually after a
minute, comes up with error. The Owner of the printed document is shown as
Guest. I turned the Guest account on thinking that would be necessary, but
no joy.

I would appreciate help from anyone, thanks

Stev

If you were going to reply to this don't bother, I've fixed it by following
advice found at www.practicallynetworked.com The problem was a result of the
user on the 98 PC having a blank password, XP was set to deny access to such
users. The other thing I did was to stop using Simple file sharing, and
shared the printer out explicitly to the 98 user.

Thanks to Steve Winograd for pointing me to the article.
