Shared Borders HELP!

M

M. Lawson

Ok gang... I've changed my existing (and working) site from cells to
shared borders. :( Unfortunately it hasn't been easy. I've run into a
problem and I'm hoping someone can help.

My site is set up to have a shared banner and a left hand navigational
banner (it's a javascript code from a free developer site). Everything
worked fine w/ the cell-enabled site (except I wanted to have the shared
navigation and banner on each page).

I'm running into a strange occurance which I can't seem to figure out.
If I open the left.htm file in the _borders folder and edit the menu
code in there, it displays and functions properly in FP preview mode.
It even displays and functions properly in the browser if I direct it to
the page.

The problem seems to be when I load the home page. It will not display
this left.htm file correctly, even though the file works independently.
The navigation buttons and the "expansion" of the buttons don't work at
all it just lists the content in a list type of fashion.

Again, if I go into the left.htm file directly, it shows up properly in
my browser and in FP itself.

Any idea on why the index file isn't reading this properly to give me my
navigational bars and expand/minimize menu options?

Thanks in advance and sorry if it was a bit confusing! (The site isn't
published on a site yet, so I can't even offer to have you visit it)

If you have JavaScript Code in the head section of left.htm, it must be move to after the opening
<body> tag and any links to images, or other external files, must be write as absolute URLs
