Shapes: Filling them with multiple colors?

In Powerpoint, if I create a half-circle shape...how can I divide it into
three filled in colors? (ie. I'm looking for the left section to be green,
middle section yellow, right section red).

Please help.

First thought was to try would be to use a gradient, but PPT will only
create two color gradients. My next thought would be to build it as three
shapes.

However, the way I would probably do it is to build the shape in a drawing
tool (PaintShop Pro, Corel Draw, Photoshop, etc.), save it to your hard
drive, and insert it using Insert--> Picture--> From File.

DuranieChick,

Create a pie chart graph

give each segment the same value

e.g. 10

Then ungroup the pie chart

You know have 3 equal segments that you can color differently

An object can't be filled with three different colors. However, how about this?

1. Create three copies of the object.
2. Fill each with a different color
3. Size them as large, medium and small.
4. Stack them with the largest on the bottom and the smallest on the top.
5. Align them so that they appear to be one object, but with three colors

Note: You'll probably want to give each of them "No Line"
