Hi, I want to create a slide that looks like this.......

__________
| | |
| | |
| |____|
| | |
| | |
|____|____|

In the rectangle on the left i want to put the names of 40 people going down
vertically.
I then want to be able to click on any of those names and then have
information (that i input) come up onthe right hand side in either 2 or
3catagories. In the pic i have split it into 2 (ie half the page). Is this
possible?

Here is the 3 catagories version poorly produced.
__________
|bob | |
|Tim |___|
|Tom | |
|Jye |___|
|ect | |
|____|___|

So if i click on Bob it will come up with personal details in top section
ie. Name, age
Middle Section contains education information ie. degrees, schooling.
Bottom section contains references ie. past employment.

If not this way what is the best way? I would like to have it all on the
same page in a slide of some sort and eventually put it onto a projector that
will still contain all the names on the left and whichever person has been
clicked on it will have their specific details showing.

Any help from you powerpoint experts would be greatly appreciated.

I would consider a website for such an information management system.

To try doing it in PowerPoint (which version do you use?), I would insert
the list of names in the slide master. Then create 40 slides and fill in the
information for the 40 persons. Go back to the master and link the names to
the slides.

You will have difficulties projecting this in a readable size: A slide is
7.5 inches high. To fit 40 names on it, the font size will have to be quite
small, maybe too small to be readible on a projected screen.

Best regards,
Ute

I agree with Ute and Steve. Now, it is your turn to convince us that you
really need this to BE on one slide, rather than to LOOK like it is on
one slide when viewed as a slide show.
