Setup Issue

I've downloaded and installed latest version of Antispyware on to two XP
machines. No problems in doing that and all functioning OK. However, on one
machine when I open up to run it ALWAYS goes to the setup screen. I'm
constantly there setting it up everytime before I can run a scan. On the
other machine I open up and run scan, no setup needed.

I've tried deleting via control panel and re-installing but always go
t0/through setup screen(s)

Can anyone help on this problem???

Delete or rename gcUserData.gcd in \program files\microsoft antispyware on
the machine that has this problem.

Whoops - after deleting or renaming that file. the wizard will come up once
more, but then you should be fine.

Bill,

Thanks for your prompt response. Had to restart PC but now everything fine.
Really appreciated the help.

Thanks--I think I need to add something like:

"Shut down Microsoft Antispyware by right-clicking the notification area
icon and choosing shut down"

Then delete/rename the file

then run Microsoft Antispyware from the Start menu.

I think that would eliminate the restart.
