Setting IE6 "Cipher Strength" per-user login?

O

Ohaya

Hi,

We have a machine where when user "A" logs in, and we do Help-About in
IE6, the "Cipher Strength" shows up as 128-bits.

On this same machine, when user "B" logs in, Help-About in IE6 shows a
"Cipher Strength" that is NOT 128-bits.

Can someone tell me how this "Cipher Strength" is controlled/configured
on a per-user basis? Is it a registry entry or entries?

Thanks in advance!!

Jim

Henri,

I'll take a look at the link.

The OS is Windows 2000 Pro. Browser is IE6.

FYI, I don't quite understand your comment. See my later posts in this
thread, but the problem is that one user CAN import client certs into IE,
and another user CAN'T import client certs into IE (i.e., we were trying to
import the client cert, but got the error).
