SetDeviceGammaRamp Failed

SetDeviceGammaRamp Failed: i get this in every game,
basically i cant adjust the brightness as it produces this
error.

Im using Directx9 although not the latest driver as they
never bloody work! properly so i use the one that came
with the graphics card.

Mick,
What video card do you have? I suggest to download the latest driver for
your video card.
Reply with a DXDIAG.txt in the post and we can try and suggest solutions
based on your system.
dxdiag:
Click on Start -> Run and type 'dxdiag' in the run box, then click 'Ok'.
When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appears click the 'Save All
Information' button, which will create a text file on your system where you
specify, as in My Documents or Desktop. Open that text file, copy the
contents and paste it to a reply.

This is what that function does- so it may be that your video card does not
support this or you need to get their drivers for your video card that does
support this

boards having drivers that support downloadable gamma ramps in hardware.
