Cant adjust Briteness or Contrast

Cant adjust Brightness or Contrast on a Samsung 960BF DVI-D LCD monitor 1280x1024 attached to a PowerColor Radeon X300SE pcie 256mb with latest driver 6.9.

This monitor is without any manual adjustments. Just a power button.

Brightness, Contrast, and Color correction are done using Samsung S/W called Magictune and NaturalColor. I can adjust color with NC but not brightness or contrast.

When I try to install Magictune all goes well till I reboot. On restart I get an error saying the display hardware is not compatible with Magictune Version 1.0 dated 9/22/2006.

I've erased and reinstalled the ATI drivers and the Magictune S/W without success.

Anybody out there resolve a similar problem.

TIA,

Jon

Thanks for the feedback and link.
I was so enamored with this monitor, I didn't even think about such an issue.
Before this, I didn't know that Samsung would make a monitor without manual adjustments.
Buyer-beware "gotcha" got me again.
Ouch!
