Hi,
On a Dell Optiplex GX110 and a Dell D600 we see that the services.exe process suddenly has a very high memory usage (400 - 500 MB). This renders the PC's useless. After a while it goes back to normal.
This happens even when the PC's are not used.
They are both running Win2K SP4 and patched with all patches from Windows Update. McAfee Virusscan with latest definition is running and both PC's have been scanned several times with AdAware and SpyBot.
I've read KB 328885 but this doesn't seem to apply here, CPU usage for the services.exe is not 100%, even though there is heavy disk usage and impossible to use the PC's.
Disconnecting them from the network seems to prevent it from happening, but is ofcourse not a solution.
Please advise how to solve this.
