service pack 4 error install on 2000 server

after downloading and midway through intalling the
service pack 4, I get an error message saying "cannot
connect to metabase". After continuing, I get another
error saying "failed to remove ism.dll script mappings,
setup will abort". Does anyone know what's goin on?

if you get this error just stop IIS Admin wait a while
and click ok setup will go on. you must stop it properly
if not kill that, start and stop. sometimes you have to
start iis admin to go on.
