service pack 3 file versions

Hi All,
I have already been to Google for this and done some searching at
Microsoft.com but can’t find the document I’m looking for, if it exists
at all. Is there a list of the Files and Version of these files that
Service pack 3 updates for win2k? I have a vendor that says mfc42.dll
version 6.0.8665.0 comes with service pack 3. however on our PC’s at
work that have service pack 3 and all other updates have the version of
this file as 6.0.8447.0. Does anyone know of a KB article on this? Or
can anyone that has service pack 3 tell me what version of this DLL they
have?

MFC42.DLL is the C++ shared library, and it's susceptible
to being overwritten by other versions which are included
with third-party application software, when this software is
installed. I just checked my own system and found I have
FIVE different versions of this file in various app folders.

If you start with a clean system (no third-party software
installed) and do before/after checking of MFC42.DLL as
you install additional software, you should be able to find
which application is overwriting the file.
