Server Service

I am tring to share a folder but I am denied due to the
Server service not starting. I have attempted to start it
but it fails with a 1058. It is enabled but has the
Computer Browser as a dependency which also fails but
with a 1068.

Hey Andy,

The computer browser service depends on the server service, so because the
server service isn't started the computer browser fails with the 1068, which
is can't start because a service its dependent on (server service) isn't
started.

1058 error is a group policy error, its looking for a file called gpt.ini
which should be in \windows\system32\GroupPolicy

Do you see it ?

1068 is can't start because its dependent on another non started service.

Have you made sure the service isn't disabled?
