sequential line numbers in whole file

Mike

Hi

I've downloaded a word file from internet.
I found there are sequential line numbers appeared in front of every
line from the beginning to the end of the text.
How can I remove them?

I use Word 2003.

Regards,

Mike

If it is a Word document 2003-2007 you can go to Page Setup Line Numbers and
uncheck "add line numbering"
If it is hard coded {SEQ ....}
You can go to top of document move cursor to character prior to start of
text:
{SEQ ....}It is a great day
{SEQ ....}It is a great day
Press ALT key and then move mouse to left margin and down document to delete
the selected "block" of text.

It depends how the line numbers are added:
1. File > Page Setup > layout > Line numbers
or
2 Numbered by means of a paragraph format line number parameter. Check the
paragraph formatting/style
or
3 SEQ or ListNo fields (toggle the display - ALT+F9) and if the numbers turn
to fields, use Replace to replace
^d FieldType
with nothing.
