Sent messages remain in Outbox

We are running Outlook 2003 on Exchange 2003. Sporadically, messages that
are sent will remain in the outbox. It's not all users and it's not all the
time. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same issue with Outlook 2003 SP1 with a client of mine. Same
as you, not all the time and usually one user. My client has a law firm and
is running Amicus 5, which they use for most email communication. (Amicus
integrates with Outlook.)

I may try updating Outlook to SP2 in the next week or so and see if that
solves the problem, but I'm not optimistic, since it's been going on for
some time.

Thanks. It's frustrating because anything that could be considered a culprit
would mean that the problem should be more widespread and consistent. We
aren't using anything that integrates with Outlook.
