Sent email

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Mail.
When I send email it does not register in my "sent Items" box and it
disappears
completely from my computer and is lost. The recipients receive the mail
however.

Any ideas what to do?

Check the "View" setting for the Sent folder.

View - Current View - Show all messages

Also in addition to what Dave said, check the setting to "save to sent
items" is selected at Tools Menu>Options>Send Tab.
