Outgoing emails are sent twice

Since switching to Vista/Windows Mail, my outgoing emails are sent twice to
the recipients, however I only have one email in my Sent box. I have
Norton's Internet and have tested sending with personal firewall off, email
scanning off and still same results. Has anyone else run into this?

First things first..

Make sure you don't have you email account specified twice.
You'd be wise to get rid of Nortons AV entirely.
Replace it with Avast minus the email scanning component.
Delete and recreate the email account within WM.

...and turn your firewall ON!

Then try again.
