Send/Receive Problem

I'm using Windows Mail on Microsoft Vista Home Premium. I click on "Receive
All" and "Send All" and have no problems. However, when I click on "Send and
Receive All", the following Windows Mail message is displayed:

Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review
the list of errors below for more details.

However, there are no errors dsiplayed in the "Errors" window, and the
"Tasks" window indicates the following:
Task: Check for new messages on 'mail.bellsouth.net""
Status: Blank (no status is displayed at all)
Connection: Local Area Network

The following message is displayed at the bottom:
0 of 1 tasks have completed successfully

This is not a serious problem as am able to send and receive mail, but
something is obviously not right. Any ideas?

There is usually a separate "tab" on that popup window for the "Error
Details" - or - you can right click on it to display. Try that and see if
you get more info to copy and paste in this post.

That symptom is usually caused by interference from an antivirus
program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

As a possible temporary fix, delete that corrupted mail account,
restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account.

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:

I had exactly the same problem as above with my Windows Mail. First time I
start WinMail it will send/receive with out any error. But after that it
will show a blank error which has no meaning. After hours of frustration I
finally tracked the poblem that this is because of duplicate settings in the
News accounts. I am sure that it is not an issue of NAV. Go to Tools,
Accounts and deleted the News accounts and voila!, send/receive now works
fine. Great Ballu!!!..........
