<Semi-OT> My wallpaper option is gone!

I reloaded my system a few days ago and have been in the process of
reloading my programs. Nothing special, just the regular freeware porgrams
I have always used. I did install Autopatcher Ultra Lite
(www.autopatcher.com) which just contains windows xp update patches and
nothing more. Well last night I wanted to change my desktop wallpaper,
which is accessed by right clicking on the desktop and choosing the
Backgrounds tab under display properties. Lo and behold the tab is GONE!
ALl I can change are themes, screen saver, appearance (which does not have
background changing..just colors) and settings. I did a search on this
oddity and came up with nothing. I ended up finding a great freeware
Wallpaper Changer however (which was why this subject was "Semi-OT":

It works awesomely and also allows for the wallpapers to change every 15
minutes and so on. Now, I really have no need for the Windows background
option, but it's just bothering me that I do not know why it is gone.
Anybody have any ideas??

Thanks for the reply. That fix did not work, but it made me remember that I
did use SafeXP to remove the recent documents from the start menu
(something I ALWAYS do when reloading my system) and I checked off
recommended settings in SafeXP. This also enabled "Classic Shell", which
removes certain WinXP shell options...including the Desktop tab. I just
unchecked it and it works fine now. Still keeping taht Wallpaper Changer
however...it is really nice!

The backgrounds tab was probably the result of you installing an app like
ESCO's Wallpaper Changer. http://egorov.ruslang.com/indexen.htm .
