Seeing yourself in BCC when receiving a message

Ok...this may be a bit of an odd question but I always have these funny
discussions with workmates because they have been on Groupwise (7.0.3) for so
long that they think Outlook should work the same way...

So we did a test where I sent a message to User 1 which I also BCC'd User 2.
When User 2 received the message she wanted to be able to see a field on the
message that showed her as being BCC'd....is this possible in Outlook?? I've
never seen nor heard of being able to see *just yourself* in BCC on a
received message. BUT...I did see this happen in Groupwise...!!! Anyone have
any comments on this..?!?! I'd love to hear them. Do anyone know if this can
be coded into Outlook so that a receiving user can see themselves in a BCC
field??

Do you use Exchange Server?

I ask because, I know that the server STRIPS the BCC info on a message
as it goes through the system. It delivers to the BCC'd client, however the
BCC info is stripped by the time it reaches them.

So, there is nothing to show the BCC for the recipient because it literally
doesn't exist.

Sorry...I did miss that bit of information...yes...this is an
Outlook'07/Exchange'07 system that we are migrating to from a GW7 system.

It just gets to be a bit frustrating explaining Microsoft's (possible?)
logic behind their reasons for doing what they do. I THINK I get it (maybe I
don't) but, some of these co-workers don't seem to understand. If they do not
see themselves in the TO field or the CC field it can be ASSUMED that, as a
receiver, they are BLIND CARBONED. WHY, for the love of technology, would
they have to see a field in a message that shows them as a BCC recipient?!?!?
I did see for myself that GW shows a BCC recipient in a received message
but seems to me that could be a security issue. Seems it could possibly be in
a header (somewhere) that would show the BCC recipients..now how's that for
being private/secure?

Anyway...yes...it does strip the BCC and thats what they are
asking/wondering about. I was asking if there was any way, programmatically
that would give the user the BCC field in a received message and show them as
a recipient? Its not something I would implement (but may have to if the
Tech Mgr insisted) just curious.
