Securtiy Centre wont' recognise Norton

G

Guest

I have installed Windows SP2 and the secutiry centre won't recognise that I
have Norton antivirus software. It keeps coming up with a warning message
that I may not have antivirus software installed. Any suggestions other than
turning the monitoring off?

Hi

If you are not able to get the Security Center to recognise Norton
fully:

Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way
Security Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane.

After installing XP Service Pack 2, the message "Your computer might

For Norton 2005 products:

I think Norton 2005 have a tamper proof setting as default, and this
cases the Security Center to not detect NAV 2005.

Will this be fixed?

Symantec is planning an update, which will be available by
LiveUpdate. The update allows the Windows Security Center to
correctly identify the status of your Norton 2002/2003 security
products and give you the option of configuring how Norton
security products and the Windows Security Center alerts you.

When the update is available, this page will be updated.
