Norton anti-virus

Hi, Hope somebody can help, I did have norton antivirus soft ware installed
but got rather fed upwith it so uninstalled it but my security centre is
still showing that it still has its firewall and antivirus, I ran the remove
add programme and have also tried using symentic'sown removel programme with
no luck how can i get it completely out? I even uninstalled service pack 2
and then re-installed it thats how desprette i am (excuse the spelling)

Help Please

What version of Norton AV (IS?) did you have installed? Go back to their
help website and check that you used the correct removal tool in addition to
Add/Remove Programs removal. The Symantec removal program should work if you
selected the right one for your version of the software.

Thanks Allen will have a check-up thought i had used correct one but never
know will report back but wont be tonight as its late

Start>Run>cmd [enter]

net stop winmgmt [enter]
cd /d %windir%\system32\wbem [enter]
ren repository repository.old [enter]
net start winmgmt [enter]

This will rebuild the repository database and Security Center should now
show the correct information.

spent ages with man from symentec have removed norton from files with his
