Script error

I am getting Internet Explorer Script Errors. These are happening on
different sites. The one I just had a few minutes ago was kind of weird. I
was on a site and clicked on one of the tabs to view their products, when I
went back up to the other 4 tabs I got the script error message. The arrow
never changed to a hand to open the link. I got the script error as soon as
the arrow pionter touched the tab. On other sites I get the error while the
page is loading. some say line 1 others line 24 or 29 they vary. Some say
"sp" is undefined and othese say other things are undefined. I know it is not
the web sites, because my wife can get on the other PC and check the same
site out and it does not happen to her PC. We have gone to the "tool" in IE
and compared settings and we match up perfectly except I have a java Sun
button and she doesn't. Probably because I have a new Media Center PC and she
doesn't.

Help!!!!! this in annoying

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

(WinXP users who have problems with 2a and 2b, see
http://www.mvps.org/archive/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm)

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

4. See also

on This Page

Scripting Errors When You View Web Pages in Internet Explorer after
Installing Office 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822521

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):

OK Frank, thanks.

I have gone through the whole setup you suggested, I did everything and
click on all links and performed the steps. Now time will tell. The only link
I could not open was the WINXP Useres .......answers_9.htm, but I did not
need that. I also D/L the Windows defender. I did have a beta of a windows
anti spyware on here already but I figured this one wouldn't hurt. I will
watch this for a couple of weeeks and let you know how it went.

thanks again
