Lately, I get many Internet Explorer Script Errors while surfing. Here is a
common example of message:
An error has occured in the script on this page.Line: 119
Char: 2
Error: 'parent.opener' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL:
https://www.airfrance.us/cgi-bin/AF/US/en/common/personnalisation/nonloggue/loginFFPpopup.do?

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes No

I click Yes.

Other kinds of errors:

- unterminated string constant
- 'actiononexit'is undefined
- object expected

Can you help? I loose much time clicking yes several times.

Well, I found the fix myself, I went to "add or remove programs" then
"add/remove windows components", internet explorer was checked, I left it
checked but I highlighted it and clicked Next, it reinstalled some things and
it worked! no more error messages.

Interesting?
The mention of IE there in XP only "Adds or removes access to
Internet Explorer from the
Start menu and Desktop" but clicking Next no matter what is
highlighted seems to do a bit of reinstallation.

Glad it worked, even if I don't know what it did.

I'm having the same problem. What worked for you did nothing for my system
when I tried it.

I don't get errors on that page myself but try this:

Tools-Internet Options-Advanced.
Disable script debugging and script error notification.

The errors reappeared so I did the same thing again (clicking Next with
Internet explorer checked) and I saw that in the process there was the
message "deleting files" so I don't know which files it deleted.
