Scheduling resources

Does anyone have any experience using Outlook to 'book' resources like
Conference Rooms, projectors etc.

I assume you have an Exchange server.

You can set up a mailbox for the resource and configure
the calendar options (Tools, Options, Calendar options,
Resource Scheduling) to automatically accept meeting
requests and process cancellations.

Make sure you set the correct permissions, so anyone can
book the resource.

Yes we do have Exchange Server.
We are currently on Exchange 2000 with intention of installing Exchange 2003
in the next quarter.
Currently all clients are on Outlook 2000. That may very well remain at
that level but there is a chance we will install Outlook 2003 clients only
(not the full office suite).

OK...enough background info.
I am told that the resolution described in the link you sent me will ONLY
work with Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000 client.

What is a person to do in MY configuration?
I like the looks of this idea but do not fit the prerequesites.
Now, if we set up an e-mail user called ConfRm - PK
1) Is there a person that is allowed to look and see WHO scheduled the
resource?
2) Can ANYONE see WHO has scheduled the resource or just if it is 'Free',
'Busy', 'Tentative', or 'Out of the Office'?
3) Does this have the same ability to 'automatically' accept bookings and
cancellations?
If this can be made to work there will be several very happy people in my
company.
