Scanning and Word 2000

I have scanned in a large document into Word 2000. Because of the size, it
is now in 3 files. The documents are in Rich Text Format. How do I combine
the three into one file? Can the Rich Text Format be changed into a normal
Word document?

Start with a new blank document. Use Insert > File to bring in each of the
three RTF files in turn, being sure that the cursor is in an empty paragraph
at the end of the document before each insert. Save often.
