saving web graphics as something other than .bmp files

I have been saving images here and there from free
graphics web sites. I am only able to save these images
as bitmap files. Is this a setting that is defaulted in
XP? I would like to be able to save these images as .jpg
ot .gif files and not go throught the hassle of changing
them in Photoshop. Any ideas?

Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop and select
Properties. In the middle of the next screen, click on Delete Files.

You need to clear your Temporary Internet Files cache more often. When it
fills up, you can only save as BMPs
