Saving powerpoint doc to cd.. Says 'read only'. How do I save?

Can someone please help me? I am running Windows XP Home Powerpoint. My
daughter did a presentation which when we go to save it onto cd says read
only. How do I remove this or what can I do as she needs to take it to
school tomorrow. When we tried to put it onto a floppy it said not enough
space available even though it was a new disk

You need to use either the built-in CD burning software or a third party
software to burn the file to the CD. With Windows XP after you insert a
blank CD you should be able to:
- Right click the PowerPoint file
- Go to SEND TO
- Go to (name of your CD drive)
- Click the pop-up notification that says you have files ready to burn to CD
- Follow wizard to burn CD

This of course is all assuming your CD drive is a CD Writer.
