saving pictures

I have had my computer for 14 months with no problem,
then about a month ago, I started having a problem saving
pictures as jpg from the web. The pull down screen ONLY
offers bitmap where it should also offered jpg. It is
giving me a problem since I need to save the pictures as
a jpg. My OS is XP Home Edition and I am using Adobe
PhotoShop 5.5. The only difference to my computer is the
renewal of Trend Micro (anti virus) and its upgrades. I
have disabled the Trend Micro but the problem still
remains. When I am working off line with photos I have
no problem saving any format since the pull down screen
offers many types. Is there a setting where I can make a
change to have the (jpg type) also in the pull down
screen?
Thanks Don

Most of the time this error is a result of needing to empty your Temporary
Internet Files folder. Try that first.

This is a common problem. You need to empty out your Temporary Internet
Files and you will have the normal behaviour back again.

If you don't know how to do this, go Tools/Internet Options and use the
Delete button on the general tab to remove the files.

Hope this helps.
