Saving changes

I have about 250 pictures in a folder. I have edited the
folder. (moved pictures to the preferred order) However
when I copy the file to my CD burner, I still get the
unedited version. The photos I deleted are not there,
but the order has not changed. I have even copied the
pictures idividually and they still won't come out in the
right order.

Any suggestions.

When you move pictures to your preferred order, you can then play a slide
show and they will be in this order. However, when you close the folder and
open it again, they will be back in the original order.
Same thing if you copy them to a CD.
The reason they are back in the original order is simply due to the sorting
rules of filenames that any software has to use. If you want to save your
new order, you need to rename the files according to the sorting rules that
XP uses.
Go down two posts below, the post by Alex, and follow the rules to rename
files.
It is actually pretty easy to do and once you learn the rules you can
manipulate file order to get exactly what you want.
