Hi,
I've got the following problem:
A colleague played araound a bit with group policies (under W2K AD). After
this, the checkbox "save password in your password list" in IE while
browsing HTTPS Websites was unavailble. As we didn't knew the setting in the
GPO, we restored a backup of this GPO. Soon, everything was fine under Win
XP and W2K with IE 5 / 5.5. But a computer, that is or even WAS in the
domain AND has IE6 installed, still has the same symptoms. I tested some
things and recognized, that it only works with W2K AND IE6 when the computer
never joined a domain. As soon it joins a domain, before or after installing
IE6, the checkbox isn't availbale anymore.
I've found a MS KB article that describes to add a registry value
'"DisabledpasswordCache " but this does not help a thing.
Does anybody know how to workaround this "problem" or the setting in the
gpo? Maybe it helps to revert it..
Thanks and regards
Thorsten
