SAS Window: winlogon.exe - No disk--- Any ideas???

I have a system with Win XP Pro installed. This system is part of an
Active Directory (domain) with a W2K Server.

More than one person uses this machine, and all users of the machine
have "Administrator" rights on the machine.

Here is where it gets interesting...

Only ONE of the users gets the following error after entering their
logon password for the domain login:

"SAS Window: winlogon.exe - No disk"

(body of message)
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive
\Device\Harddisk1\DR1.

I do not get this message when logging onto the domain as any other
user on this machine.

This install of WinXP has ALL of the updates and patches. I looked
on-line and found it could be an old BIOS issue, so I flashed the
motherboard with the latest BIOS. This did not solve the problem.

Other NT4 related KBs suggested moving the Hard Disk ahead of the
CD-ROM drive in the boot order. I did this as well, and it did NOT
solve the problem.

This is a total pain in the neck. Anyone got any ideas? I notice there
seems to be LOTS of others with the same problem, but there are no
answers posted! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is no statistical software on this machine. This is part of the
problem I had in trying to Google search on this problem - I kept
getting references to that software package.

Corrupted user profile. Hmmmm. Could be.

So I will try deleteing his user info on that machine and then
recreating it.

I'll let you know.

That's it! :)

I deleted the user from the machine, and then added the user back.
Error message gone, all AOK.

So it must have been a corrupted user profile. How it got corrupted is
another story - one which I will have to investigate. But for now..

THANKS!
