Same Problem

I have PowerPoint 2007 and Service Pack 1. If I select an object with text on slide 1 I am sent to another slide, slide 8 for instance. If I click on slide 8, I go to the next slide, slide 9. Slide 9 contains a link back to slide 1. When I click on the link and return to slide 1, the hyperlinked text color has not changed. However, if I leave slide 1 again and come back the color is changed. Also, I have two monitors: one displays the PowerPoint PPT file and the other displays the slideshow. Although the text does not initially change in the slide show, it does change in the original PPT.

We do not know why this happens.

One thing that's been mentioned is animated GIFs. Seems that sometimes when
there's an aniGIF in the file, the followed hyperlinks don't always change
colors.

Then again, sometimes they don't change colors even if there's not an aniGIF
present.

Sorry. Wish I had a fix or even a workaround for you, but I don't. I do know
it's been reported to Microsoft.
