Safely remove hardware

My "Safely remove hardware" icon is gone from the tray.
I've checked the Customize Notifications and see a folder
with Safely remove hardware, made sure it has Always show
applied but still no luck. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

Frank, while you were there did you select Apply>Ok ? If not, try
that and do a restart.
