Running from administrators account

I am trying to install a program
(http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_digital_signal_monitor.html)
and I get this alert:

Error
You do not have access to make the required system modifications. Please
rerun the application from an administrators account.
OK

The problem is that I am the only user of the laptop and in Control
Panel > User Accounts I see my name and underneath it it says:
Administrator / Password protected. First time I encounter this kind of
problem. What should I do?

Right-click the install exe and select 'Run as administrator'.

When trying to install an upgrade to my ATI graphics card driver, I was
always being presented with that same message no matter what I did to
install. I went back to the ATI site and found in an obscure place the
instruction to uninstall all previous ATI drivers before trying to install
the new driver. Doing this solved all installation problems.

Perhaps you are in the same situation with the program that you are trying
to install.
