Ridding Temp Files & Cookies from hidden folder

J

JW

In C:\Documents and Settings\myname\Local
Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IES
(where the Local Settings portion is a hidden file)
Is it ok to delete the Content.IES files? They contain
stuff that I don't want on my computer anymore.

Also in C:\Documents and Settings\myname\Local
Settings\Temp\Cookies, there are a lot of data text
files. (also the Local Settings is a hidden folder)
Is it ok to delete these cookies?

And how do I do it other than manually? I've tried by
using Windows Disc Clean up, Norton Clean Sweep and
IE>Tools>Options>delete cookies and files. None of these
gets rid of the above mentioned files and cookies.
Thank you for any help.

Hi JW,
You can safely delete these files. They are cached to
make revisits to internet sites faster. You can also do
this more quickly in IE by selecting Tools, Internet
Options, then clicking the buttons for temp files,
history, and cookies.
