THIS FIX WORKS. READ THE FOLLOWING INFO. (Also, please note that thi
error has nothing to do with a virus or anything... it's a Toshib
utility error.)
Navigate to C:\Windows\system32
DELETE 000StTHK.exe and 00THotkey.exe.manifest
COPY 00THotkey.exe
Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Al
Users\StartMenu\Programs\Startup
PASTE 00THotkey.exe into the Startup directory.
Creating a shortcut may work just as well, I can't reallysay becaus
this is how I solved the problem and I am happy with it.
Props to SBriggs who posted the info above on a forum on Feb 3, 2005.
just implemented this myself, on a Toshiba laptop, and it works. (Also
after working on insane spyware and virus issues for the past 48 hour
and only sort of getting through it all, my powerbook running mac os
is humming along without a hitch...
