"Restricted site?"

I entered a long complicated URL that was reported to me by ContentProtect,
some parental control software, to see what my granddaughter had chosen to
override (it was categorized simply as "pornography" by ContentProtect.
When I clicked GO, nothing appeared on the screen - remained white (no long
text about not being able to access the page), but in the bottom left border
of IE's window, was a little red circle with a white line in it, next to the
words "Restricted site." Does IE restrict sites? I'm not aware of having
set any filters or anything. I am running SP2. Does it come with some
default filtering already set? (Dunno how to even look.) BTW -
ContentProtect was not running on the machine I was using at this time.

Hi Laurel,

"Restricted sites" is one of the security zones in IE. Tools, Internet
Options, Security. Sites listed in that zone are restricted as what they can
do with your browser.

Kind regards
