Restrict Internet Access

Hi there,

I have just recently bought a new computer with the Windows XP Professional
operating system and would like to restrict my children's access to the
Internet. The only way I have found to do this is through the "content
advisor" which allows you to block all websites without a rating. This is a
really big pain because many websites do not have ratings and so if you
select this option then you have to type a password for each site you visit
or keep a list of "acceptable" websites. I'd really just like to make it so
my children do not have access to the internet on their profiles - PERIOD!
This way I need to be home and logged on in order for them to have internet
access. Does anyone know if this is possible? If so HOW? Help! I'm tired
of my son and his friends accessing unsavory sites while I'm away!

Consider using the 'Immunize" feature of SpyBot Search and Destroy. It will
put somewhere between 2358 and 3156 objectionable sites in the restricted
zone of I.E.
After you run immunize look at IE > Tools > Internet Options > Security >
Restricted Sites > Sites. You will see the list of "Bad Guys". SpyBot S & D
is free at
