Repost on faulty Device Manager

XP Pro with SP2 and all updates. Posted earlier that when I try to update
drivers and hardware using the device manager the wizard does not come up, no
error messages either. I ran devmgmt.msc and the device manager comes up,
but still no wizard when I try and update any of the device drivers. If my
file is corrupt how do fix it.

Try the Add Hardware Wizard in Control Panel, you may have to manually
choose your drivers.
