Removing hotfix 824141

I have this game that hangs when it starts. Tech support says the
solution is to remove hotfix 824141
(http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/tac/support/sherlock.html#Q3).
Unfortunately, their instructions involve removing it from the
Add/Remove Programs menu. There is no remove button for this hotfix
listed. How do I remove it?
I have WinXPHE SP1.

Click on KB824141 to have the Add/Remove button appear. If no joy :

/u: Use unattended mode.

Additionally, the patch has been re-released several times and
*may* have the fix you need now included. If you installed it prior to
October 29, 2003, redownload it and see if this is correct.
