Removing CNNIC

I've just installed Windows Defender and run it. It tells me that it has
found CNNIC spyware (China Network Internet Information Centre), but when I
tell it to remove it, Internet Defender reports error 0x80501001 and suggests
scanning again - which does not help. Has anyone come accross this problem
and removed CNNIC? If so, please let me know how in simple, detailed steps,
as I am not an expert.

Reboot into Windows' safe mode and try again. Some malware cannot be
removed correctly when it is loaded and it may not load in safe mode.
