Remote Desktop Connection Problem

I am trying to setup RDC on a WinXP Pro PC. It does NOT appear in the
Accessories/Communication group nor will it install from the MS download.
When running the dl it stops and says that "Remote Desktop Conn cannot be
installed because your operating system already has a built-in version. See
All Pgms\Accessories\Communications\Remote Desktop Connections on your start
menu. " The problem is that it is not there. The group contains only
Hyperterminal, Network Connections, Network Setup Wizard, View Connection
Wizard, & Wireless Network Setup Wizard. Please advise as to how I can
correct this.
