Remote desktop connection freezes my desktop

Hello group!

My remote desktop connection between laptop and desktop (Windows XP Pro SP2
running on both) worked perfectly for months until two weeks ago when
desktop started to freeze when I connect to it by running RDC on the laptop.

When desktop freezes I can ping to it and nothing else - only reset helps.

I have enabled Ethereal on the laptop and I see communication between both
machines during logon period so I presume everything is OK with the network
and firewalls. But after logon there is no further communication.

Any suggestions are more than welcome.

Check the event logs and make sure the graphics drivers are up to date...
