Remembering Passwords...

Hello all,

I had been using the password remembering feature in IE to automically fill
password boxes after entering usernames. We had to upgrade our systems and
they were all lost. So, I went to get all the sites set up again and all but
a couple asked me if I wanted to have IE remember the password. Those are
fine. However, the others, which were saved prior to the upgrade, never
asked me again if I want to save the password. Any idea how I can somehow
"ask" IE to save a pasword?

Thanks,

Trevor

Hi,
I'm not sure why you would need to do this on a fresh install/reinstall, but
here's what works for me.

Clearing all passwords should work to reset the "Save Password" option for
that site. IE> Tools> Options> Content> Autocomplete> Clear Passwords.

Protected Storage PassView from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pspv.html will
help you recover other cached passwords *before* you clear all passwords.

Note that some secure sites, such as banks, don't allow passwords to be
saved.

Regards,
Don
