Reinstalling Multimedia Audio Controller

E

Enigmaman

I have lost sound on my PC because it seems that the Multimeduia Audio
Controller needs to be installed.

It looks straightforward enough - insert my PC's Drivers & Utilities CD and
update the driver in Device Manager.

The problem seems to be that it cannot find the driver on the CD,

I cannot see a reason for this - can anyone please shed any light or suggest
a workaround?

TIA

Since you have a Drivers & Utilities CD, this could mean you have a
name brand PC. If this is true, check on the manufacturer's web site
and you should find the driver (and it might be a newer version.)
